My turn:

	Right after I disconnect from the internet, I will give
Supremetronics & Active Surplus a call to see whether they are open and
whether they sell transistor sockets (I saw transistor sockets in the
electronics catalog so hopefully these stores will carry them).  I will
spend the next lab period building an H-bridge circuit.  If it works, I
will solder it onto proper boards and build a second one for the second
motor.  Towards the end of this week, I will investiage (& invest) on IR
emitters and detectors.

	It's a pity that Home Depot doesn't carry ball bearings (but I
find this hard to believe esp since the store is rather HUGE).
